What is Direct Support Professional (DSP) of the Month/ Year?
Each month, employees have the opportunity to nominate their teammates to be recognized for their outstanding contribution to Abilities Discovered, Inc. The criterion is professionalism, treatment of the individuals supported, use of creativity and problem solving, attendance, and accurate and timely documentation. The chosen DSP receives $100.00 and 8 hours paid time off. Their picture is posted in the office and on our Face Book Page. The DSP of each year receives an additional $1000.00 and a 2-day trip.
Maria Paz Roble was originally chosen as the Abilities Discovered, Inc Direct Support Professional of the month of March 2019. In November 2019 she was selected as the Direct Support Professional of the Fiscal Year 2019. Maria was selected from the 12 monthly Direct Support Professionals from July 2018 through June 2019.
Maria has been employed with Abilities Discovered, Inc for 11 years. She supports individuals in maximizing their participation in their communities. Maria is not just a favorite among the people she supports but also among their families. Maria originally is from the Philippines. She is married and the proud mother of 2 sons and 2 daughters.
